Immersion heaters can be damaged or burnt out if the liquid level is allowed to fall below the heater. A simple and reliable solution is to use one of our liquid level switches with a relay to automatically cut power to the heater in the event of a low level condition. When the liquid level is raised to a safe point by a filling operation (which also can be float-controlled) the heater will come back on.
