These liquid level transmitters are used in applications where a continuous indication is needed. They have 1/4″ resolution, are constructed out of 316 Stainless Steel, Stainless & Buna or Polypropylene, and are available in lengths up to 8 feet long. The sensor is a 3-wire potentiometer and requires a signal conditioner or digital panel meter if a 4-20ma output is needed. The internal circuit is made up of a series of reed switches and resistors which is epoxied inside the stem. The liquid level drives a float, which activates the reed switches in a repeatable pattern that changes the resistance output resulting in a continuous level measurement.
